Programming

Community Event Planner Event Staff

This individual will be responsible for identifying restaurants for education track attendees to meet, buy their meals and socialize. This individual will put together a schedule of these events for distribution during the con and play host/ess for said meals. Contact kellyann.bonnell@phoenixcomicon.com to apply.

Professional Development Liaison Event Staff

This individual will be responsible for overseeing the documentation process for teacher PD including working with the art department to finalize the certificate, documenting contact information for certificates distributed and preparing the attendee labels and guiding presenters through the distribution of attendee labels and answering any questions related to the process from attendees. Careers in Pop Culture Liaison Event Staff

Operations

 

 

Line and Access Event Staff

We are looking for individuals with an outgoing positive attitude that are at least 18 years of age. Our volunteers need to be able to stand and move freely throughout their shift. We do need our volunteers to be available to work 18+ hours over the four days the convention is running. All volunteers must be upbeat, helpful, very customer service oriented and able to work independently with little supervision.

Job duties include but are not limited to customer service (with a smile), crowd management, panel room supervision, line management, adult content access control, and provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone there. Shifts are scheduled by the Managers based on the needs of the event and certain areas will require an interview to volunteer in. Logistics Event Staff

Do you want to get a behind the scenes look at how Phoenix Comicon Fan Fest runs? Operations Logistics is looking for event staff to assist teams throughout Phoenix Comicon. Volunteers will need to be able to do some lifting up to 20lbs and there is some loading and unloading required. To apply, please email sherri.dower@phoenixcomicon.com.

Onsite Tech Manager

The Phoenix Comicon Technology Department has an opening for Onsite Tech Manager. This position will have overall responsibility for the Registration process as well as support for the Programming rooms at Phoenix Comicon and other duties tbd in the Photo Booth and our 3rd Street programming.

We'd like you to join our Merry Band, you should have extensive web and or A/V experience and be ready to step up in terms of time spent and 'the burden of command.' The benefit package for this position is available to view at here.

You will be leading a veteran team of Phoenix Comicon volunteers, setting their schedules and preparing the team to NUKE Customer Expectations. You will also collaborate with our Online Manager and Photo Booth Manager to deliver the best possible product for all.

Photo Booth Point of Sale Event Staff

Photo Booth is looking for multiple volunteers to help with Point of Sale transactions throughout Phoenix Comicon. You can expect to work a defined and scheduled 4.5 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so you'll be able to plan out the rest of your convention around volunteering.
