Cosplay is a fandom that takes characters and makes them real for us to love and enjoy. With the internet and mainstream media, we have ways to spread that fandom using the internet, TV, movies, etc. But is it bad or good?

We're all fans of something, whether it be sports, comics, TV shows, movies, and the list goes on. Cosplay is one of these forms of fandom that takes characters we love and makes them real life interpretations for everyone to love and enjoy. With the internet and mainstream media, we have ways to spread that fandom using the internet, TV, movies, etc. But is it bad or good? Scary? Wrong? Or just for the fun of it? I'll be discussing these issues and more along with current issues within the Cosplay community.

Having experienced being in a reality show for Cosplay, I want to discuss my experiences, what I think about the future of this fandom, and what it means to be inclusive and welcoming when it comes to people joining this awesome hobby.
