Tom started doing voiceover work at the age of 15, in his home town of Kansas City. By the time he got out of college, he had done several hundred commercials, and by the time he was 23, he was in Chicago, regularly landing National TV spots and other jobs. But what he really wanted to do was Cartoons. So at the age of 24, he moved to Hollywood and immediately started landing Commercials, Movie Trailers, Network Promos... succeeding in every area of VO work except animation.
After several years of auditioning with no results, he was about to give up on that dream when he landed a lead role in Iron Man. Then came The Wild Thornberrys... then The Powerpuff Girls, then Kim Possible... and, well, you get the idea.
Tom Kane's tremendous vocal range has led to a busy career. Every week, he records literally dozens of Movie Trailers, Commercials, Network TV Promos, Video Games and Cartoons, most notably as the Voice of Yoda in Star Wars The Clone Wars.
Currently, he has National Spots running for Scrubbing Bubbles, Cars 2, Walmart, Chrysler, Netflix, Nintendo, Propel Water, McDonald's, Kellogg's Corn Pops, The Smurfs, Nickelodeon... the list goes on.
Veronica Taylor is a classically trained actor who has performed in NYC and around the U.S. in contemporary and classical theatre. She can be heard as Max on Dinosaur King, Carly on Yu-Gi-Oh!5D's, many characters with accents on Huntik, and as Tori in Tai Chi Chasers. She can be heard on PBS kids' Word World (Sheep), Lunch Lab (Mixiebot), and the recently launched Chuck Vanderchuck's 'something something' Explosion! (Ramona). Some anime favorites include Yukino on His and Hers Circumstances, Amelia on Slayers, all 7 Nana's on Nana Seven of Seven, and Narue on World of Narue, as well as many others. She has done numerous voices for animation, video games, audiobooks, commercials, and documentaries. For a more in depth list, check out her website: www.veronicataylor.net.
What's the first thing you do when you get to Phoenix Comicon? Head to the North Building, Ballroom 120 for Registration! For 2015, we're moving everything back to the North and West buildings of the Phoenix Convention Center and not using the South Building. 3rd Street will again be closed between the North and West buildings so you don't have to worry about crossing the street once you get to the Convention.
Sneak Peek at what we'll be talking about next week - for the first time we're going to be using all three floors of the North and West Buildings for the convention!
Phoenix Comicon will host Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof in a rare appearance together in what is likely the only US pop-culture and comic book convention appearance for 2015. The seasoned actress is probably best known to sci-fi fans for her portrayal of Willow Rosenberg on Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the spinoff series Angel. She has also made guest and voice appearances on television shows including Veronica Mars, That ‘70s Show, The Simpsons, and American Dad!, and starred as Lily Aldrin on the CBS hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother. As a film actress, Alyson took on the role of the amorous Michelle Flaherty in the American Pie series.
Adding considerable clout to the 2015 guest list at Phoenix Comicon is television and film actor Alexis Denisof. Alexis is known for many of his roles in Joss Whedon productions including Wesley Wyndam-Price on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, Senator Daniel Perrin on Dollhouse, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, and The Other in The Avengers with a reprisal as The Other in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Most recently, Alexis has been seen on the television series H+, How I Met Your Mother, Grimm, and Finding Carter.
