Christopher Paolini is an American author known for writing the Inheritance Cycle, which consists of the wildly successful books Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance.

His love of fantasy and the natural beauty that surrounded his home in Montana inspired him to begin writing the Inheritance Cycle at the young age of fifteen. By age nineteen he had become a #1 New York Times bestselling author and spent the next decade of his life immersed in the world of Alagaesia. To date, the Inheritance Cycle has sold more than 35 million copies.

Christopher is also an accomplished artist, even drawing the interior art for all of his books. In his spare time, he enjoys sharpening knives, playing video games, lifting heavy things, and searching for the perfect leather-bound notebook.
